Metropole Learning

Our services are designed to enable you to move closer to the labour market with the ultimate aim of helping you into sustained employment.

Once in employment we will provide you with any on-going support you need. This could include vocational learning, continuing Skills for Life learning or simply mentoring and support. We can also help you if you are already in work. We can come and visit you at work, or you can access learning at any of our 5 central London learning centres.

ESOL: Do you want to learn English? We have classes for everyone, from total beginners to high levels. You have the opportunity of taking an ESOL City and Guilds (beginners Entry Level 1 – intermediate Entry Level 3) or Cambridge English Language qualification (at higher levels - L1/L2). All our teachers are trained professionals. We can teach you the vocational language skills you need to help you get the job you want.

Literacy: Do you need to brush up on your reading, writing and spelling skills? We have literacy classes that cater for all levels. You can take a City and Guilds or AQA qualification.

Numeracy: Not sure about numbers or adding up? We have

the solution. You will be given additional Numeracy help as part of your ESOL and Literacy training. You can also take an AQA qualification in Numeracy.

Employability: Do you find it difficult to apply for jobs? Do you know how to write a letter of application or do you have a CV? If you have a CV does it need updating? Our Employability Award covers these topics. It will show you how to improve your skills for work. You will learn everything you need to know about the workplace.

Information Technology (IT / computers): Do you want to brush up on your computer skills? We can teach you the skills you need to access the internet to look for work. We will also set you up with an email account if you do not have

one. Additionally, you can take a level 1/level 2 City and Guilds ITQ qualification where you will learn how to use the Microsoft Office Suite.

Individual Learning Support: Do you need extra help to access learning? We will give you the individual support that you need. Our Learning Support Champions are here to help you.

Information, Advice and Guidance (I.A.G.): Do you need any extra help with day to day living? Or do you need help to decide which course is best for you? We have specialist and friendly staff that can help you.
